As founder and president of Elevation Capital Strategies, Cathy is committed to the financial success and confidence of each and every client. She built Elevation Capital Strategies to help keep investors on the path towards financial security and independence because everyone deserves a secure, independent retirement.
Cathy has helped hundreds of individuals retire successfully using principles she established in her proprietary planning process; the Retirement Navigator. As Cathy explains, “It all begins with a plan and at Elevation Capital Strategies, we take financial planning very seriously. Decisions about your finances will have a large effect on your life during retirement, and today as well. Our proprietary planning process builds a financial road map that fits your individual needs, starting with sustainable income in your retirement years that is not dependent on the day-to-day performance of the stock market.”
Prior to founding Elevation Capital Strategies, Ms. Mendell was a senior executive for a Fortune 500 company. She made the transition into the financial planning industry to serve a community in need of professional direction in retirement. Ms. Mendell understands the nuances of managing client assets during the emotional, and sometimes scary, transition from the workforce to retirement. She recognizes that people are searching for a connection in their financial relationships and offers a vehicle to forming that personal rapport with the company's professional staff. Ms. Mendell embraces the exciting industry shift toward fee-based, transparent advisory models and client-focused fiduciary responsibility, and works to align clients with appropriate planning vehicles.
Cathy is constantly sought after by the local and national media. On a national level, she has appeared in Smart Money Magazine, Yahoo! Finance, CNBC.com and Forbes.com. Cathy hosts the radio show, Elevate Your Retirement where she addresses top concerns for retirees and their investments. The show airs at 7:30 a.m. on Sundays on KMED, KBNW and KQAK.
Cathy and her husband, Arlan, have been married since 1976 and maintain residence in Medford and Bend, Oregon. They have three grown sons and two amazing grandchildren. In addition to enjoying spending time together as a family, Cathy and Arlan are the directors of Orphanages of Kenya located in Nairobi, Kenya. Orphanages of Kenya began in 2007 and was envisioned by its founders as a way to restore hope to shattered lives. The organization’s motto is: “Committed to the care of these 36 children, we provide everything they need to be healthy, happy and educated. We operate solely on the generosity and donations of those who partner with us to rescue these precious lives.”
